The majors with many candidates on the list include the Economics Professorial Council with 102 people; the Medicine Professorial Council with 82 people; the Chemistry-Food Technology Interdisciplinary Professorial Council with 60 people; the Mechanics-Engineering Interdisciplinary Professorial Council with 48 people; the Agriculture-Forestry Interdisciplinary Professorial Council with 35 people; the Physics Professorial Council with 33 people; the Construction-Architecture Interdisciplinary Professorial Council with 30 people; the Transportation Professorial Council with 26 people; the Animal Husbandry-Veterinary-Aquaculture Interdisciplinary Professorial Council with 25 people; the Information Technology Professorial Council with 19 people, etc.
Meanwhile, some Councils have very low numbers of candidates such as Metallurgy with 3 people; History-Archaeology-Ethnology with 4 people; Literature with 5 people; Mechanics with 6 people; Linguistics with 7 people; Psychology with 8 people.
Compared to 2022, the list of candidates for the title of Professor and Associate Professor this year increased by 248 people (in 2022 there were 447 candidates).
After the review process, the number of candidates who met the required votes of confidence for the titles of Professor and Associate Professor in 2022 according to regulations was 383 people, including 34 Professor candidates and 349 Associate Professor candidates.
According to the procedure, universities establish a basic council to review the applications. After approving the list of qualified candidates, the basic council sends the results to the State Council of Professors.
