63 projects eligible for loans under the 120,000 billion VND Credit Program

At the regular press conference for the fourth quarter of 2023, organized by the Ministry of Construction this afternoon (January 12), Director of the Department of Housing and Real Estate Market Management Hoang Hai said that in 2023, the whole country will have 44 social housing projects for low-income people and industrial park workers with a scale of 36,262 units, completed, licensed, and started construction.

In addition, in 2023, nationwide, 27 provinces have announced a list of 63 projects eligible for loans under the VND 120,000 billion credit program with a loan demand of up to VND 27,966 billion.

Specifically, Mr. Hai said that of the 44 projects above, 28 projects with a scale of 13,864 apartments have been completed; 16 projects have been licensed and started construction with a scale of 22,398 apartments.

In the fourth quarter of 2023 alone, nationwide, 16 social housing projects for low-income earners and industrial park workers with a scale of 9,302 units have been completed and granted construction permits. Of these, 7 projects with a scale of 4,019 units have been completed; 9 projects with a scale of 5,283 units have been granted permits and started construction.

Regarding the cumulative implementation of the Project of 1 million social housing units in the period of 2021-2030, Mr. Hai said that through the synthesis of reports from localities, up to now, nationwide, there have been 495 social housing projects for low-income people and industrial park workers with a scale of 402,898 units completed and deployed for construction investment.

Specifically, as of January 12, 2024, the whole country has completed 70 projects with 35,566 units; started construction of 127 units with a scale of 107,896 units; 298 projects with a scale of 259,436 units have been approved for new investment policies.

According to Mr. Hai, regarding the implementation of the 120,000 billion VND credit package for social housing loans, localities and social housing investors are focusing on implementing this support package; of which 27 provinces have announced a list of 63 projects eligible for loans under the 120,000 billion VND credit program with a loan demand of 27,966 billion VND.

“Up to now, there have been a number of social housing projects in localities (Hanoi, Bac Ninh, Phu Tho, Binh Duong) that have been disbursed with capital of about 179.5/1,095 billion VND,” Mr. Hai emphasized.
