6 projects won first prize in the Science and Technology Competition for high school students

On the morning of December 18, the Department of Education and Training summarized and awarded prizes for the Provincial Science and Technology Competition for high school students in the 2023-2024 school year at Sao Do University (Chi Linh).

The Organizing Committee awarded 77 prizes, 2 prizes less than the previous school year, including: 6 first prizes, 4 more prizes; 14 second prizes, 2 less prizes; 20 third prizes, 5 less prizes and 37 fourth prizes, 1 more prize.

6 first prizes went to the projects: research on materials to design and manufacture material leads for 3D printers to serve the ceramic industry and the project of applying AI technology in image processing on autonomous robots following traffic signs (Nguyen Trai High School for the Gifted); Research on synthesis of CO2 absorbing materials of Nguyen Van Cu High School; FSDAS smart device to assist safe driving of Nguyen Du High School; Solution for secondary school students to protect and preserve the purity of Vietnamese language of Chu Van An Secondary School (Chi Linh); Developing self-study capacity for students in the era of technology 4.0 to meet the requirements of the 2018 general education program of Dong Tam Secondary School (Ninh Giang).

The Organizing Committee will continue to evaluate and select the 2 best projects out of the 6 first prize winning projects to participate in the National Science and Technology Competition in March 2024 in Bac Giang.

81 products participating in the Provincial Science and Technology Competition for high school students in the 2023-2024 school year

The contest took place from December 16-18, with 81 projects from 12 district-level Departments of Education and Training and 35 high schools in the province participating. The products were in 3 fields: physics - engineering, social sciences and behavior, chemistry - biology.

The organizing committee evaluated the projects as carefully invested, creative, methodical, applying new technology with the ability to be applied in real life. This is the 12th year the Department of Education and Training has organized the contest to encourage students to conduct scientific research, create technical and technological innovations, and apply the knowledge they have learned to solve practical problems, contributing to the development of students' qualities and abilities.
