With these 5 great laundry tips, you will have a wardrobe that is both fragrant and clean as if it was washed in a laundromat.
For many people, doing laundry becomes a nightmare when stubborn stains stubbornly stay there and refuse to fade, waiting to ruin your shirt or pants.
But don't worry because today you will learn some quick and clean laundry tips that 5-star hotels still use but never reveal to you.
1. Do not cram too many clothes in one wash
Did you know that your washing machine works best at 80% capacity? If you overfill your load, your machine won't have enough room to clean all the stains.
However, if you put too few clothes, they will easily get wrinkled and damaged. Therefore, put just enough, about 70 - 80% of the washing machine drum is best!
2. The temperature of the washing water is of utmost importance.
Temperatures between 40 and 60 degrees Celsius (104 and 140 degrees Fahrenheit) are considered optimal for disinfecting fabrics and removing dirt, you know? This is because if you choose to wash with cold water, it will not be enough to remove bacteria and dirt from your sheets and towels. Meanwhile, if you choose hot water to wash, your towels and sheets may shrink.
3. Use white vinegar instead of fabric softener
It is a fact that if used for a long time, fabric softener with many chemicals can cause your towels and belongings to become stiff.
To avoid this problem, the hotel staff has chosen white vinegar. Simply add 1 cup of white vinegar while washing to soften the fabric and remove stains.
4. Complete set of stubborn stains treatment
For grease stains, sprinkle some starch on them. Then, just wash as usual.
If you have tomato juice or sauce stains on your clothes - "make them disappear" with WD-40 rust and lubricant spray. Just spray it on the stain, and let it sit for 5-10 minutes before rinsing with cold water.
To remove sweat stains from white clothes, hotels will wash them at a water temperature of about 40 degrees Celsius, then wash them again with bleach. You can also apply this method to get bright white clothes!
Coffee or wine stains - choose salt. First, soak the clothes in salt water, then wash them with clean water.
Baking soda is the nemesis of yellow stains on white clothes and bad odors. And the formula that hotels use is to add half a cup of baking soda to the laundry detergent!
5. Drying
Experts advise you to limit over-drying and drying clothes directly in the sun.
So if you have to use a dryer, put a tennis ball inside to make towels, bed sheets... softer.
