In 4 months, Hai Duong Rural Water and Sanitation Company consumed more than 5.1 million m3 of commercial water.

According to a representative of Hai Duong Province Rural Water and Sanitation Joint Stock Company, in the first four months of this year, the company produced over 5.9 million m3 of clean water and consumed over 5.1 million m3 of commercial water, an increase of 8% over the same period last year.

Upgrading and renovating vertical settling tanks into lamellar settling tanks helps increase the capacity of clean water production plants by 25-30%.

It is expected that in May and June, the company will consume about 3.2 million m3 of commercial water, an increase of 30% to ensure clean water demand this summer.

To ensure the above goal, the company has completed upgrading and renovating vertical settling tanks into laminar settling tanks, increasing the capacity of factories in An Lac (Chi Linh), Ngu Phuc, Kim Xuyen (Kim Thanh); upgrading the main clean water supply pipelines in Tien Tien (Hai Duong City), An Thanh (Tu Ky), Ung Hoe (Ninh Giang), Cam Phuc (Cam Giang) and Kim Xuyen (Kim Thanh) communes. Upgrading the pipelines helps reduce upstream pump pressure, save electricity, and improve water supply quality.

Some factories have installed new pumps to improve the quality of clean water supply.

The rate of clean water loss of enterprises has decreased. The inspection results on May 13 showed that the unit's clean water loss rate was 16.5%, down 0.5% compared to December 2023. Many centralized clean water supply plants have a lower than average clean water loss rate such as Thai Duong (Binh Giang), Le Loi (Gia Loc), Cam Dong, Cam Vu, Cam Phuc (Cam Giang)...

Currently, the company is providing clean water to people in 52 communes in the province. Of which, the company directly manages 48 communes with a total of nearly 10,000 customers and wholesales through the main meter to 4 communes with nearly 9,000 customers.
