According to Booking’s 2024 Travel Trends Report, 57% of Vietnamese travelers are looking for more nature-based travel experiences this year. 60% said natural beauty is an important factor influencing their decision to choose a travel destination.
Based on the above trend, on September 20, Booking suggested 4 destinations for tourists to consider if they want to admire Vietnam's autumn. The selection criteria are based on searches, comments, and compliments from tourists and experts of the application. The destinations selected for introduction are small areas, not too noisy and crowded, with cool climates, natural landscapes with typical autumn colors that make tourists "satisfy their eyes". Therefore, big cities such as Hanoi, Da Nang or Ho Chi Minh City are not on this list.
Mu Cang Chai, Yen Bai
According to experts at Booking, Mu Cang Chai is famous among domestic and foreign tourists for its vast rice fields. Visiting Mu Cang Chai in autumn is considered a "satisfying experience". The golden rice fields stretch out, undulating along the hillsides, creating an overwhelming scene. The best time to visit this place is from September to October.
Ha Giang
"The winding roads in Ha Giang with its majestic mountains will take visitors on an engaging journey," the app commented.
Tourists can visit traditional local villages, admire the majesty of the limestone terrain and experience the culture of the H'Mong people.
From September, local festivals associated with cultural identity begin to be held, such as the Khen Mong Festival and the Tam Giac Mach Festival. Visitors can immerse themselves in the golden autumn colors and participate in the activities of the local people.
Kon Tum
