According to information from the Ninh Binh Provincial Department of Tourism, Ninh Binh Tourism Week 2024 with the theme "The Golden Color of Tam Coc - Trang An" from June 1-8, Ninh Binh province is expected to welcome 285,000 visitors, an increase of 65.6% compared to the event held in 2023.
Of which, international visitors are estimated to welcome 61 thousand arrivals, double the number in 2023. Hotel room occupancy rate in the whole province is about 70-75%; in Tam Coc area alone, the average room occupancy rate is 85-90%, reaching 100% on the opening night.
In addition, the number of visitors to other areas outside Tam Coc - Bich Dong tourist area is also very crowded such as Hoa Lu ancient town, Bai Dinh pagoda, Trang An eco-tourism area, Mua cave, Thung Nham eco-tourism area...
The opening ceremony in Tam Coc area alone had the participation of about 25 thousand visitors. Due to the good preparation of traffic diversion plans, ensuring safety, security and order in the opening ceremony area and the boat dock area and on the main roads leading to Tam Coc area, the organization, reception of delegates, security and order, and environmental sanitation were well ensured, with no accidents or traffic jams.
Director of Ninh Binh Provincial Department of Tourism Bui Van Manh affirmed that Ninh Binh Tourism Week 2024 with the theme "The Golden Color of Tam Coc - Trang An" has contributed to promoting and advertising Ninh Binh tourism to domestic and foreign tourists; creating a media effect and stimulating tourism demand, attracting visitors.
The highlight of the Tam Coc - Trang An Golden Festival in Ninh Binh Tourism Week 2024 is the procession of agricultural products on the river, with the participation of 63 boats carrying typical products of regions and areas across the country as offerings to the God of Agriculture, to honor the beauty and value of agricultural products of the province and regions across the country.
