350 people died in Hamas attack, Israel urgently evacuated people near Gaza

According to AFP news agency on October 8, spokesman for the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), Rear Admiral Daniel Hagari Daniel Hagari told reporters: "Our mission in the next 24 hours is to evacuate all the people living around Gaza. There are tens of thousands of soldiers in the area. We will approach each community until we eliminate all terrorists in Israel."

At the meeting on October 8, Mr. Hagari said the current priorities were to end fighting in Israeli communities and control violations of the fence separating Gaza and Israel.

The IDF says the number of Israelis killed since Hamas launched its offensive on October 7 has risen to 350.

Meanwhile, fighting continues in the town of Kfar Aza near the Gaza Strip. IDF units are attempting to rescue hostages held by Hamas in the town.

The IDF regained control of the Re'im military base in the south, which is the headquarters of the Gaza Division and was captured by Hamas gunmen early on the morning of October 7.

The IDF has called up tens of thousands of reserve soldiers to prepare for deployment to the southern part of the country. The IDF is deploying 35 combat battalions to the border with the Gaza Strip and is preparing to send four reserve divisions to reinforce the area.

The Israeli Prime Minister's Office has announced that the country has made a series of important decisions aimed at destroying the government and military capabilities of Hamas and the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ). According to the statement, Israel will also temporarily stop supplying electricity, fuel and goods to the Gaza Strip.

According to Israeli health authorities, in addition to the 350 people killed, nearly 1,600 were injured. Authorities have yet to determine how many people were taken hostage by Hamas gunmen to the Gaza Strip.

On the Palestinian side, health authorities in Gaza said at least 313 people were killed and 1,990 injured in the past 24 hours.
