2 households in Dong Thap area (Ninh Giang) have dismantled constructions violating traffic corridors.

On the afternoon of June 23, Mr. Duong Ba Dong, Chairman of the People's Committee of Van Hoi commune (Ninh Giang, Hai Duong) said that two households, Mr. Bui The Phuong and Mr. Vu Duy Dinh in Dong Thap area, Dao Lang village, had dismantled a large construction located in the corridor of provincial road 396.

At the regular citizen reception in April 2024, Hai Duong Provincial Party Secretary Tran Duc Thang assigned the Ninh Giang District People's Committee to promptly relocate and clear households living and doing business in Dong Thap area, and report before June 30, 2024.

Ninh Giang District People's Committee held a meeting with Van Hoi Commune People's Committee and related agencies and units and 2 households on May 6, 2024, requesting the 2 households to sign a commitment to self-demolish the illegal constructions. Van Hoi Commune People's Committee established a mass mobilization team for the government, and assigned specialized civil servants to regularly visit the 2 households to propagate and urge them to self-demolish and relocate the illegal constructions. Since the end of May 2024, these 2 households have begun to self-demolish the illegal constructions.

Illegal construction of 2 households before being dismantled

Arrive June 23, The two households have completed the dismantling and relocation of illegal constructions, returning the corridor of Provincial Road 396 (the East-West axis of Hai Duong province). Mr. Phuong moved to Hung Long commune, Mr. Dinh moved to Tan Quang commune (both in Ninh Giang district).

The Dong Thap area has also been planned by the Provincial People's Committee as a mausoleum to worship Mr. Doan Dinh Duyet, from Dao Lang commune, Vinh Lai district (now Van Hoi commune, Ninh Giang district, Hai Duong), a Baron, Grand Minister of the Privy Council, Minister of Public Works and Ministry of War, one of the "four pillars of the court" of the Nguyen Dynasty during the reign of King Khai Dinh.
