15 Hai Duong fencers begin to conquer the national fencing tournament

The Hai Duong fencing team of coaches Tran Thi Len and Le Thi Bich competed in all 15 events: individual, team and mixed sabre, sabre, and men's and women's foil.

The Hai Duong fencing team consists of 15 fencers (10 female, 5 male), including 5 youth athletes, the rest are from the Hai Duong province fencing team. The team is assigned the target of winning at least 1 gold medal, 2 silver medals, and 1 bronze medal.

At this tournament in 2023, the Hai Duong fencing team competed in 8 out of 15 sets of medals, winning 1 mixed gold medal in sabre, 1 individual silver medal in women's foil and 1 team medal in women's foil.

In this year's tournament, fencer Pham Thi Ngoc Luyen from Ninh Giang continues to be the backbone of the team. This girl is currently the runner-up in the SEA Games women's team fencing event.

The National Fencing Championship is the highest tournament in 2024 of Vietnamese fencing, taking place from now until October 28. The tournament has 200 fencers from 8 delegations: Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Hai Duong, Bac Ninh, Hai Phong, Quang Ninh, Thanh Hoa and the People's Public Security.
