Hai Duong won 2 gold medals in fencing and table tennis

The 15th National Fencing Championship 2023 will take place from October 21-28 in Hanoi. This year's tournament will have the participation of more than 200 fencers from 8 delegations: Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Bac Ninh, People's Public Security, Hai Duong, Hai Phong, Quang Ninh, Thanh Hoa.

Coach Tran Thi Len said that the Hai Duong delegation participating in the tournament included 2 coaches and 15 athletes, competing for 8 out of 15 sets of medals. The Hai Duong fencers won 1 mixed gold medal in sabre, 1 individual silver medal in women's sabre by fencer Pham Thi Ngoc Luyen and 1 bronze medal in women's sabre team. The Hai Duong fencing team completed the target set before the tournament of winning 1 gold medal, 1 silver medal and 1 bronze medal.

With this result, the Hai Duong fencing team ranked fourth overall, after Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, and Hai Phong (1 silver medal behind Hai Phong).

The 2023 National Table Tennis Tournament for Strong Teams ended on October 29 after 9 days at Tien Giang Provincial Gymnasium. The tournament had 11 delegations with over 100 players competing in 7 events: men's team, women's team, men's doubles, women's doubles and mixed doubles.

Hai Duong team participated in the tournament with 13 athletes, including 1 socialized athlete, competing in all 7 events. As a result, the team won 1 gold medal in the men's team of Doan Ba ​​Tuan Anh, Nguyen Duc Tuan, Nguyen Duy Phong, Nguyen Vu Hoang Nam; 1 bronze medal in the women's team of Bui Ngoc Lan, Nguyen Thi Mai Phuong, Cao Ngoc Anh, Le Gia Han and 1 bronze medal in the mixed-women's doubles of Nguyen Duc Tuan - Bui Ngoc Lan. Thus, Hai Duong table tennis team did not meet the target of winning 1 gold medal, 1 silver medal and 1 bronze medal.
