Number of cultural and historical relics sharply increases after 10 years

According to a list of cultural and historical relics and famous tourist attractions in Hai Duong province in 2020 freshly approved by the provincial People's Committee, the province is home to 3,199 cultural and historical relics, up 992 relics compared to the inventory in 2009.

In which, there are 345 classified relics, including three special national relics, 142 national relics, and 200 provincial relics.

Of the total historical and cultural relics in the province at present, pagodas account for the most (1,044), followed by communal houses (655), family worshipping houses (547), etc.

Chi Linh city is home to 426 relics, the most in the province.

The provincial People's Committee has directed the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism and People's Committees of districts, cities, and the provincial town where there are relics included in the list to perform State management over the relics in accordance with legal provisions on cultural heritage.
