The leaders of the General Department of Market Management requested all forces to strengthen inspection and strictly handle acts of hoarding goods to wait for price increases and profiteering in petroleum business activities.
The General Department of Market Management has just signed and issued Official Dispatch No. 1936/TCQLTT-CNV to the Market Management Departments of provinces and cities on strengthening supervision, inspection, and handling of violations in the petroleum business.
Accordingly, the leaders of the General Department of Market Management requested the Market Management Departments of provinces and cities to continue to strictly implement the directions of the Government, the Prime Minister, the National Steering Committee 389, the Ministry of Industry and Trade and the General Department of Market Management in the work of market inspection, control, and handling of violations in the petroleum business.
Units proactively coordinate with local Departments of Industry and Trade and functional forces to focus on implementing professional measures, developing plans, conducting regular and surprise inspections of law enforcement in petroleum business activities of enterprises; strictly handling acts of hoarding goods waiting for price increases, and profiteering in petroleum business activities.
The leaders of the General Department of Market Management reminded all forces to strengthen the management of the area, proactively coordinate to grasp the situation with functional forces such as customs, border guards, coast guard, and police to use synchronous professional measures, develop plans and professional plans to prevent, control, and combat smuggling of gasoline and oil on border routes and sea areas. Actively exchange, coordinate, and share information on gasoline and oil smuggling on border routes and sea areas among functional forces in the fight against gasoline and oil smuggling; propagate and mobilize people not to participate in or assist in gasoline and oil smuggling activities.
The head of the market management agency is fully responsible for directing, organizing the work of monitoring, inspecting, controlling, and handling violations in the petroleum business. Strictly handle officials and civil servants who are lax in management, cover up, assist, or turn a blind eye to violators.
“Units must seriously implement and report the implementation results to the General Department according to regulations to report to the leaders of the Ministry of Industry and Trade. During the implementation process, if there are any problems, promptly report to the General Department for unified direction,” the dispatch added.
Regarding this field, the Prime Minister signed an official dispatch requesting the Ministry of Industry and Trade to preside over and coordinate with the Ministry of Finance, the State Capital Management Committee at Enterprises, the Vietnam Oil and Gas Group (PVN), the Vietnam National Petroleum Group (Petrolimex) and relevant agencies to proactively and resolutely manage and balance the supply and demand of the petroleum market according to assigned functions, tasks and authority; ensuring the supply of petroleum for the production and business activities of enterprises and the consumption of people in all situations.
The Prime Minister assigned the Ministry of Industry and Trade to preside over and coordinate with the State Capital Management Committee at Enterprises, PVN and relevant agencies and units to determine the output of domestic petroleum production enterprises to have a basis for balancing imported petroleum sources in the coming time, in order to ensure continuous maintenance, absolutely no interruption of petroleum supply for the domestic market.
Preside over and coordinate with the Ministry of Finance and relevant agencies to closely monitor developments in the world petroleum market and the domestic petroleum production and trading situation to manage prices and use the Price Stabilization Fund appropriately, promptly and effectively in accordance with regulations.
