Two subjects with bad personal records have just paid the price for organizing the illegal use and trading of drugs in Tan Dan ward, Chi Linh city (Hai Duong).
On October 31, at the hall of the People's Committee of Van An Ward (Chi Linh City), the People's Court of Chi Linh City held a mobile trial of two subjects, Bui Ba Bac and Nguyen Van Hung, for the crimes of organizing illegal use of drugs and illegal drug trafficking.
According to the indictment, at around 11:00 p.m. on June 8, 2024, at the boarding house of Bui Ba Bac (born in 1987, residing in Tan Dan ward, Chi Linh city), Nguyen Van Hung (born in 1982, residing in Binh Duong ward, Dong Trieu city, Quang Ninh) illegally sold 800,000 VND worth of methamphetamine to Bac.
Then Bac prepared tools to organize drug use with a number of subjects on June 13, 2024 and June 15, 2024.
At 3:00 p.m. on June 18, 2024, Bac was inspected, discovered and had his evidence seized by the Chi Linh City Police.
Authorities searched Hung's residence and seized 0.994g of methamphetamine.
Bac has 2 previous convictions for theft and robbery, and was once administratively punished for gambling.
Hung has many criminal records for theft, illegal possession of drugs, extortion, escape from prison, and robbery.
The trial panel sentenced Bui Ba Bac to 8 years and 2 months in prison for organizing illegal drug use; Nguyen Van Hung to 7 years and 1 month in prison for illegal drug trafficking.
The illegal use of drugs by some subjects in the case has been administratively sanctioned by Chi Linh City Police according to regulations.
