The Standing Committee of Hai Duong Provincial Party Committee assigned the Party Committee of the Provincial People's Committee to direct the review and consideration of the development of a plan to increase tuition fees according to the floor level.

On the afternoon of October 17, the Provincial Party Standing Committee held a meeting to collect opinions from a number of departments, branches and localities on regulations on tuition fees and the list of revenue items, revenue levels, and revenue and expenditure management mechanisms for services serving and supporting educational activities at public kindergartens and general education schools in the province.

Comrade Le Van Hieu, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation chaired the meeting.

Based on the opinions of the delegates attending the meeting, Mr. Le Van Hieu, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, agreed to assign the Party Committee of the Provincial People's Committee to direct the review and advise on the plan to increase tuition fees according to the floor level. Support the difference in increased revenue when implementing Decree 81/2021/ND-CP dated August 27, 2021 of the Government on the mechanism of collecting and managing tuition fees for educational institutions in the national education system and the policy of exempting and reducing tuition fees, supporting learning costs; service prices in the field of education and training at the current collection level on the basis of balancing the provincial budget in the direction of 100% support for students from poor and near-poor households and partial support for the remaining cases. The Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee requested specialized agencies to urgently advise the Provincial People's Committee and report to competent authorities so that after the Government has given instructions, a support policy will be issued.

Regarding the issue of public concern about the low transparency of service fees other than tuition fees or fees collected through the Parents' Representative Board, Mr. Le Van Hieu, Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, requested relevant sectors and localities to have plans and direct schools to collect and spend in accordance with regulations and especially to be open and transparent.
