Watch Hai Duong swimmers train hard in the cold weather

The weather in recent days has been continuously cold and rainy, but it cannot stop the will, aspiration, and determination of the swimmers of the Hai Duong diving team.
The Hai Duong diving team currently has 20 athletes aged 9-23. Since the Lunar New Year 2025 until now, the weather has been continuously cold, with light rain and drizzle, but the athletes have not rested and have maintained regular training sessions of 2 sessions per day, each session lasting about 2.5 - 3 hours at Yet Kieu swimming pool (Hai Duong city). In less than a month, the team will participate in the 25m National Swimming and Diving Championship held in Thua Thien - Hue province. This is the first official tournament in 2025 for the entire team, so despite the unfavorable weather, the team members are still determined to practice to maintain their physical strength, feeling, and endurance in harsh conditions.The swimmers of the Hai Duong diving team practice seriously with high intensity despite the outside temperature in the afternoon being only 17 degrees Celsius.Head coach of the Hai Duong diving team Pham Dang Khoa is often there to guide and encourage his students during practice. Mr. Khoa said that the physical strength of the whole team is currently stable. Although they have to practice in cold weather, all the swimmers are highly determined.After about 2 - 2.5 hours of physical training and warm-up, the swimmers of the Hai Duong diving team began to practice in the water for about 30 minutes.Training hard in cold weather helps the spirit, physical strength and endurance of the swimmers improve significantly. On average, each swimmer will dive with a fin for 800m before taking a break.Hai Duong diving team aims to win 20-25 gold medals at domestic and international tournaments in 2025. Last year, the team won a total of 31 gold medals at tournaments, being one of the 5 strongest diving teams in the country.For the women's diving event, Hai Duong swimmers have dominated the 50 - 400 m blue track for the past 4 - 5 years with faces that have brought "gold" to the province's sports many times such as: Pham Thi Thu, Le Thi Thanh Van...The Hai Duong diving team also has a number of promising male swimmers, typically Vu Ngoc Diep (born in 2008). Last year, this swimmer won 2 gold medals at the 2024 Diving World Cup held in Phuket (Thailand).The cold weather seems to be no problem for the swimmers of the Hai Duong diving team. They are still practicing silently, determined to achieve the highest results, contributing to the tradition and affirming the position of Hai Duong sports in the national arena.VAN TUAN
