Electric bike is a hybrid between a scooter and a bicycle.

The new electric bike from Owlet, a Los Angeles-based bike company, offers a fun riding experience that combines a scooter and a bicycle. The first thing that stands out about the Owlet One is its unique and striking design at first glance.

The bike is made of aerospace aluminum, weighing 38 kg. The LED headlights are like a pair of bright eyes, the taillights have integrated brake and turn signal functions. A small screen with convenient control buttons is located on the left handlebar, along with a spring-loaded seat with adjustable height.

The Owlet One features a 3.5-inch travel front fork with air suspension, along with 20-inch fat tires, Shimano hydraulic disc brakes, and GPS navigation capabilities.

Another impressive feature of the Owlet One is the adjustable wheelbase, which offers two riding modes depending on preference and circumstances. The frame is 1,470-1,600mm long. Owlet doesn't describe how to switch from one mode to the other, but based on the pictures, it seems like it requires some tools to do so.

Owlet says the bike can be partially folded down to 1,120mm in length, making it easy for users to carry the bike into an elevator or place it in the cargo space of a car for easy transportation.

The Owlet One has a hub-mounted motor with a capacity of 750W and a torque of 180 Nm, which can reach a maximum speed of 48 km/h. The vehicle has no pedals, the rider relies entirely on the throttle to move. Owlet says that the decision to remove the pedals was inspired by everyday reality: in traffic, the rider relies solely on the engine to move. Therefore, the Owlet One is equipped with a foldable footrest.

The 56 V/30 Ah battery with a capacity of 1,500 Wh, made from LG cells and hidden in the frame. The battery is removable for charging and provides an estimated range of 64 - 80.5 km per full charge, depending on the rider's weight and the top speed they choose.

The Owlet One costs $4,000, but early bird customers can enjoy a $3,000 discount and have their serial number engraved on the car.
