In a video circulating on social media, three female students take turns beating and pulling the hair of another female student in a school restroom in Ho Chi Minh City.
After watching the video on social networks, Nguyen Van Troi Secondary School realized that the incident was serious, negatively affecting the reputation of the school, causing insecurity among students and parents. Therefore, the school continues to verify the incident and will resolutely handle the violators according to regulations. This is the assessment of the leader of Nguyen Van Troi Secondary School (Go Vap District, Ho Chi Minh City) about the incident of a female student beating a friend in the school restroom, mentioned in the report of the Department of Education and Training of Go Vap District on the afternoon of November 7.
A video circulating on social media shows three female students taking turns beating and pulling the hair of another female student in the school restroom. After the information appeared on social media, on the morning of November 5, the leaders of the Go Vap District Department of Education and Training asked the school principal to report the incident.
According to the Principal's report, the incident of female students fighting occurred at the end of September. In October 2023, the school received feedback from parents about the situation of female students fighting in the restroom on the second floor of the school. Through verification, at the end of the 2022-2023 school year, TV (grade 7/6) and TA (grade 6/8) had a conflict and a fight broke out during recess in the yard at the school's second campus. Although the problem was resolved by the school and parents, these students secretly continued to have conflicts in the 2023-2024 school year.
According to TA's sister, XM (grade 9/9), her younger sister was beaten last school year because TV borrowed money from YN (TA's friend, now transferred to another school) but did not return it. On September 23, TA invited some other friends to meet TV in the school's girls' restroom to talk. There, three female students, XM, YN and DT, took turns beating TV. Afterwards, the three female students warned TV not to tell anyone, otherwise they would be beaten again. Because of fear, TV did not dare to report it to the school.
After learning about the incident, on November 3, the school invited students and parents to work, informed parents and students that they would be assessed as having poor conduct in the first round of report card - first semester, and coordinated with local police forces to educate the students.
However, after watching the video on social media on November 5, the school found that the incident was serious, negatively affecting the school's reputation and causing insecurity among students and parents. The school is currently continuing to verify the incident and will resolutely handle violations according to regulations, helping students recognize their own wrongdoings; at the same time, it also promotes the general deterrent effect to end school violence in the future.
