Exemplary cadres

In early 2024, when Tu Ky district implemented the arrangement of commune-level administrative units in the area, merging Dan Chu and Quang Nghiep communes into Dan An commune, Quang Nghiep commune registered the breakthrough work of completing this work.

To facilitate the arrangement of cadres and civil servants in the new commune, the Party Secretary, Chairman of the People's Committee and Vice Chairman of the People's Council of the commune voluntarily submitted an application for early retirement. From the exemplary role of key cadres, an accounting civil servant also voluntarily submitted an application for retirement under the streamlining of the payroll.

Mr. Vu Chi Manh, Party Secretary and Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Nghiep Commune, said that although he still has 2 years to retire, he has voluntarily resigned. Mr. Manh believes that cadres must set an example and create opportunities and favorable conditions for young cadres who are capable and qualified.

Quang Nghiep commune also organized to disseminate to all cadres, civil servants, and non-professional workers at the commune and village levels about the policy of merging communes. Strengthened propaganda and mobilization so that people could clearly understand the meaning of the policy. Organized many meetings and meetings to grasp the thoughts and aspirations of cadres, civil servants, and non-professional workers. Thanks to that, the percentage of voters in the commune agreeing with the policy of merging Quang Nghiep and Dan Chu communes reached 99.9%; 100% of the commune People's Council delegates agreed with the policy of merging.

For the benefit of the people

Learning and following Uncle Ho's teachings, the Party Committee of Quang Nghiep commune always closely follows the breakthrough contents selected by the province and district, and at the same time chooses its own breakthroughs associated with local tasks.

The commune had set a goal of reaching the advanced new rural area by 2023. However, at the beginning of 2021, the commune chose to break through and reach the target ahead of schedule. The commune Party Committee has proposed specific solutions, focused all resources, promoted and mobilized, and created consensus among the people. With criteria requiring large funding sources, Quang Nghiep supplemented appropriate land planning for auction; proactively resolved surplus and interspersed land to increase revenue, and sought support from the province, district, and people's contributions to implement.

From 2020-2021, the commune invested in building 22 welfare works, with a total cost of more than 167 billion VND. Mobilizing people to donate 15,506 m²Residential land, 240,511 m²03 land, many projects to expand rural roads. In 2021 alone, the commune built 28 classrooms for schools, upgraded and renovated more than 30 km of roads. Thanks to that, in 2021, the commune reached the advanced new rural finish line, 2 years earlier than planned.

After being recognized as meeting advanced new rural standards, Quang Nghiep commune also focused on implementing model new rural criteria. In particular, to minimize environmental pollution, in 2023 the commune implemented a model of waste classification at source. In order to create consensus, the Party Committee of the commune assigned the People's Committee, associations, and mass organizations to propagate and mobilize people. Village cadres and party members went to each family, met to mobilize and analyze so that people could understand the policy correctly. Not long after, the people of the villages agreed. To date, the commune has distributed 1,550 "Handbooks on waste classification at source" to 100% of households; all households bought their own inorganic waste bins. The commune also invested in building 9 organic waste compost pits and 3 inorganic waste collection sites. The amount of inorganic waste brought to the landfill in the commune has decreased by 70%. Awareness and habits in using inorganic waste have been significantly improved.

Comrade Vu Chi Manh, Secretary of the Quang Nghiep Commune Party Committee, said that in order to make learning and following Uncle Ho a reality, the Commune Party Committee has directed and guided cadres to register and commit to implementing specific exemplary contents. Party cells have identified breakthrough tasks, selected practical and specific issues and tasks to focus on directing and organizing implementation.

In 2024, Quang Nghiep commune was honored to be one of three collectives and individuals proposed to the Prime Minister to receive a certificate of merit for their outstanding achievements in studying and following Uncle Ho's example.
