Chi Lang Nam Commune (Thanh Mien) excellently won the first prize and the championship cup of the entire delegation of the 1st Fire Fighting and Rescue Competition "Fire Prevention and Fighting Safety Inter-family Group" of Hai Duong province in 2024.
On the morning of May 23, at the Dong Xu Cultural Center Square (Hai Duong City), the Provincial People's Committee organized the first Fire Fighting and Rescue Competition "Fire Prevention and Fighting Inter-family Safety Team" in 2024.
Comrades: Luu Van Ban, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, Head of the Organizing Committee of the Contest; Nguyen Khac Toan, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council attended. Leaders of the Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue Police Department (Ministry of Public Security) and nearly 950 delegates representing leaders of many departments, branches, sectors, unions of the province, members of the parade teams and blocks attended.
Speaking at the opening ceremony of the contest, Mr. Luu Van Ban, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, assessed the contest as a practical activity, aiming to promote the improvement of the quality and effectiveness of the model of "Inter-family fire safety group". The contest also contributed to improving knowledge and skills in handling fire and explosion situations, rescuing people and property for members of the households in the "Inter-family fire safety group", effectively implementing the motto "4 on-site" in handling fire and explosion situations that occur right where they live.
The Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee emphasized that this is also an opportunity for people from all walks of life to exchange, meet, learn about legal knowledge, firefighting, rescue and salvage skills, and be able to respond to and handle fire situations right at the grassroots level. The activities of the contest are visual and vivid propaganda images to each person, creating a vibrant competitive atmosphere in the movement of the whole people participating in fire prevention and fighting.
Immediately after the opening ceremony, 12 excellent "Fire Prevention and Fighting Interfamily Teams" representing districts, towns and cities entered the competition in two theoretical and practical categories.
The 12 competing teams include: Tan Hung wards (Hai Duong city), Tan Dan (Chi Linh city), An Sinh (Kinh Mon), Tan Truong communes (Cam Giang), Nhan Quyen (Binh Giang), Hiep Cat (Nam Sach), Hong Du (Ninh Giang), Kim Xuyen (Kim Thanh), Yet Kieu (Gia Loc), Thanh Hong (Thanh Ha), Chi Lang Nam (Thanh Mien) and Cong Lac (Tu Ky).
In the theoretical part, 1 member of each team draws 1 out of 30 questions to answer. The theoretical content focuses on basic knowledge of fire prevention, fire fighting, rescue and relief work that can occur in every family, production and business establishment. Due to good preparation, most of the team representatives quickly and accurately answered the questions given by the Organizing Committee.
In the practical competition, after careful preparation and practice, all teams skillfully performed the steps required by the Organizing Committee such as starting, sounding the fire alarm, wearing fire protection equipment, breaking locks, extinguishing fires, rescuing victims, and rescuing property.
At the end of the contest, in the theoretical part, Tan Dan ward team (Chi Linh) won first prize, Tan Truong commune (Cam Giang) won second prize, Thanh Hong commune (Thanh Ha) won third prize.
In the practical competition, Yet Kieu commune team (Gia Loc) won first prize, Cong Lac commune team (Tu Ky) won second prize, Tan Hung ward team (Hai Duong city) won third prize.
In the overall team competition, Chi Lang Nam commune team won first prize and the championship cup; Tan Truong commune won second prize; Tan Dan and Tan Hung wards both won third prize; Thanh Hong, Yet Kieu, Hong Du, Nhan Quyen and Cong Lac communes all won consolation prizes.
Also at the contest, the Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue Police Department (Provincial Police) introduced the activities of ladder trucks, boom trucks, and firefighting robots to delegates and people.
Along with that, there are 4 booths of businesses inside and outside the province introducing fire fighting equipment and vehicles.
