Multiple accidents on Highway 5 through Cam Giang send two people to the hospital

As Hai Duong newspaper reported, at 6:15 p.m. on November 19, at km 41+100, National Highway 5, Hanoi - Hai Phong road, through Tan Truong commune (Cam Giang), a series of accidents occurred in the same direction.

At that time, Mr. VVT, born in 1974 in Nguyen Giap commune (Tu Ky), was driving a passenger car 34B-031.33 on National Highway 5 in the direction of Hanoi - Hai Phong. When reaching km 41 +100, the passenger car collided with the back of a truck 29H-007.61 driven by Mr. PVH, born in 1972 in Thanh Binh ward (Hai Duong city). There were 2 people in the car: Mr. LXL, born in 1942 in Thu Phu commune, Thuong Tin district (Hanoi) and Ms. LTTH, born in 1977 in Thanh Binh ward (Hai Duong city).

Then, truck 29H-007.61 was pushed and collided with the back of car 15C-235.77 driven by Mr. TVT, born in 1994 in Tu Cuong commune, Tien Lang district (Hai Phong). Car 15C-235.77 continued to be pushed and collided with the back of tractor 98H-001.65 pulling trailer 29R-080.29 driven by Mr. DVĐ. born in 1987 in Noi Hoang commune, Yen Dung district (Bac Giang).

Then the tractor trailer pushed forward and crashed into the back of the car 34A-292.89 driven by BVT, born in 1976 in Quang Thanh commune (Kinh Mon).

The chain accident damaged 5 cars, injured two people in truck 29H-007.61, of which Mr. L. suffered a traumatic brain injury and was taken to Hai Duong General Hospital; Ms. H. suffered a broken right arm and broken right leg and was taken to Hai Duong General Hospital, then transferred to Viet Duc Hospital (Hanoi).

The traffic accident caused traffic on Highway 5 to be partially congested for nearly 2 hours.

Authorities are continuing to investigate and clarify the cause of the accident.
