VietinBank Dong Hai Duong – New growth, new aspirations

After 35 years of construction and development, VietinBank Dong Hai Duong has made remarkable progress, affirming its position as a bank branch with sustainable growth, contributing significantly to the growth of VietinBank and contributing to the socio-economic development of the province.

Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Industry and Trade (VietinBank) Dong Hai Duong, formerly VietinBank Nhi Chieu, was established in 1988 when the country was just entering the period of renovation with many difficulties and challenges.

In the early days of its establishment, VietinBank Nhi Chieu faced many difficulties. However, with determination and courage, the branch's management board and staff actively built facilities and improved the apparatus to gradually meet the tasks in the renovation period. The branch gradually shifted from capital allocation management to lending and business capital allocation for economic sectors in and outside the region.

With the motto of always taking the production and business efficiency of customers as its operational goal, the branch has continuously expanded its cooperative relationships, creating trust with customers from all economic sectors.

In 1991, VietinBank Nhi Chieu was upgraded from a transaction office to a branch under VietinBank Hai Duong with the task of currency - credit and payment business, and dependent economic accounting.

2018 marked an important milestone when the branch had a new brand and headquarters. The Standing Committee of the Board of Directors of VietinBank decided to relocate and rename VietinBank Nhi Chieu to VietinBank Dong Hai Duong. Since then, the branch has increasingly affirmed its brand and reputation as one of the leading banks in the province.

In 2023, facing significant fluctuations in the world and domestic economies, the Board of Directors of Vietnam Joint Stock Commercial Bank for Industry and Trade (VietinBank) Dong Hai Duong Branch flexibly managed the plan and growth targets, along with the determination and efforts of the 90 staff, helping VietinBank Dong Hai Duong Branch achieve many positive results, affirming the brand of one of the bank branches with a large role and influence in the province.

With the determination to complete all tasks excellently, from the beginning of the year, the Party Committee, Board of Directors and all officers and employees of VietinBank Dong Hai Duong branch have built and implemented synchronous solutions in the growth strategy. By the end of 2023, the total mobilized capital and outstanding loans both reached over 10,000 billion VND, a good growth compared to 2022. Credit quality is guaranteed, the bad debt ratio remains low compared to other credit institutions in the province as well as in the VietinBank system.

In addition to business activities, since its establishment, VietinBank Dong Hai Duong has always closely coordinated with the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and socio-political organizations of Kinh Mon town to effectively carry out social security work. In 2023, VietinBank Dong Hai Duong spent nearly 1 billion VND to support funds for the poor, encourage education, and sponsor the construction of charity houses for poor households and people in difficult circumstances in the area.
