Christie's auction house said on November 2 that the largest flawless blue diamond could sell for $50 million at its rare jewelry auction in Geneva, Switzerland, on November 7.

This blue diamond, called the Bleu Royal, is set in a ring and is one of the rarest diamonds ever found.

Mr. Rahul Kadakia, Head of Christie's Global Jewellery Auctions, said the diamond is particularly rare because it is the largest of its kind at 17.6 carats. It is also the most perfect diamond with an extremely beautiful natural color.

In 2016, Christie's auction house sold a 14.6-carat Oppenheimer Blue diamond for more than $57 million.

Experts expect the price of the Bleu Royal diamond to exceed that of the Oppenheimer Blue.

In another online auction taking place from November 13-16, Christie's will also auction the pearl necklace worn by film and fashion icon Audrey Hepburn in the final scene of the 1953 film "Roman Holiday." The starting price for this precious necklace is suggested to be between $20,000 and $30,000.

The auction house will also sell the Rolex wristwatch worn by Marlon Brando in the film."Apocalypse Now"1979 with the back engraved with the actor's signature.

The watch sold for 2 million Swiss francs ($2.2 million) two years ago and is now valued at around 1-2 million Swiss francs.
