VF 5 continues to be VinFast's flagship model, selling nearly 2,600 out of more than 4,000 vehicles sold in July.
According to a source from VinFast, the company delivered more than 4,000 cars in July. Of these, VF 5 continues to be the Vietnamese company's flagship model, selling nearly 2,600 cars, equivalent to a contribution of about 65% of the market share. Thus, the remaining groups VF 3, VF e34, VF 6, VF 7, VF 8, VF 9 account for 35%.
With the above sales, VinFast VF 5 is the best-selling car model in Vietnam in July. If only counting internal combustion engine cars, Mitsubishi Xforce is the market leader with 1,748 cars.
Since the beginning of the year, VF 5 has delivered about 15,000 cars to customers, leading the Vietnamese market. VinFast has not yet specified the total sales volume.
VF 5 was once expected by the Vietnamese company to be the replacement for Fadil, the best-selling A-size gasoline hatchback in the market (2021) before being discontinued from July 2022. With a compact design and affordable price, VinFats VF 5 is the choice of first-time car buyers for both personal and business travel needs.
Thanks to the advantage of charging electricity cheaper than filling up with gasoline, VF 5 is also used by many transportation businesses to replace traditional gasoline and diesel vehicles. More than half of VF 5 sales are currently used for taxi transportation business purposes.
Sales of 2,600 units of VF 5 in July were the highest since early 2024. The high sales of this model were boosted by the free charging promotion policy for one year (July 2024 - July 2025). The new color range applied to VF 5 recently also attracted more customers.
