Kinh Mon town achieved maximum score on the non-agricultural labor rate criterion according to regulations of type III urban area.
According to the People's Committee of Kinh Mon town, the locality currently has nearly 63,300 workers of working age. Of these, nearly 46,100 people work in the non-agricultural sector, accounting for nearly 73%, exceeding nearly 3% compared to the requirements of a type III urban area (standard from 60-70%).
The labor force in Kinh Mon's inner city area is more than 45,700 people, of which non-agricultural labor is more than 37,100 people, accounting for nearly 82%, nearly 2% higher than the standard of a type III urban area (conditions from 75-80%).
Kinh Mon town is a leading locality in industrial development of Hai Duong province with key industries being the production of non-metallic mineral products, electricity production and distribution, processing, manufacturing, etc. In addition, the town is also close to large industrial zones of Quang Ninh and Hai Phong. Therefore, it attracts a large workforce to work in the industrial sector.
