The Vietnam team returned home in positive spirits after three consecutive losses at the FIFA Days in October 2023.

On the evening of October 18, the Vietnamese team landed at Noi Bai airport, Hanoi, concluding a series of three friendly matches during the FIFA Days in October.
Members of the Vietnamese team received bouquets of flowers from fans. The whole team appeared in good spirits after the trip.
According to coach Philippe Troussier, what the players showed in this match was even better than the matches in June, September as well as the last two matches against China and Uzbekistan.
"If we just look at this score, I know it will be difficult for fans to immediately realize at this point that we have actually achieved certain positive points.
So I don't want to judge you guys just based on today's match and just look at the score of the match," coach Philippe Troussier shared.
After the FIFA Days in October, the players will return to their home clubs to start the new season.
According to the plan, the team will gather again in mid-November to prepare for the away match against the Philippines on November 16 and then return home to host the Iraq team in the second qualifying round of the 2026 FIFA World Cup in Asia.
