From December 27 to 29, the District Youth Union, the Vietnam Youth Union, and the Thanh Mien District Pioneer Council organized the program "Warm Winter in the Highlands" in Pac Nam District (Bac Kan Province).
The program presented 30 gifts including cash, blankets, and necessities to families in difficult circumstances in Phieng Lung village (Boc Bo commune), Na Thiem village (Gieu Hieu commune), Na Mon, Phieng Pen, and Khuoi Xom villages (An Thang commune) of Pac Nam district, worth nearly 40 million VND. It also presented 1 youth project to support households in especially difficult circumstances to repair their houses in Phieng Lung village and 1 project to concretize rural roads in Na Thiem village, worth 60 million VND.
The delegation also presented 40 scholarships, 241 boxes of milk, many school supplies, medicine, blankets, clothes and other items to Tan Hoi school and An Thang Primary and Secondary School (An Thang commune), worth more than 240 million VND.
The total value of the "Warm Winter in the Highlands" program in Bac Kan is more than 300 million VND, supported by youth union members, people, organizations and units in the district.
On this occasion, Thanh Mien District Youth Union organized a journey to the red address at Na Tu historical relic site (Cam Giang commune, Bach Thong district, Bac Kan province), where Uncle Ho visited the 312 youth volunteer unit on duty in 1951.
