Working Week 2, Session 7, National Assembly XV

During the second working week of the 7th Session (from May 27 to 31), the National Assembly discussed many important issues on the agenda.

Notably, the National Assembly spent the entire fourth day (May 29) discussing in the hall: Additional assessment of the results of the implementation of the socio-economic development plan and state budget in 2023; the implementation of the socio-economic development plan and state budget in the first months of 2024; Results of the implementation of national gender equality goals in 2023; and the practice of thrift and anti-waste in 2023. The session was televised and broadcast live for voters and people to follow.

During the week, the National Assembly discussed the draft Law on Social Insurance (amended); the draft Law on Organization of People's Courts (amended); the draft Law on the Capital City (amended); the draft Law on National Defense Industry, Security and Industrial Mobilization.

The National Assembly also discussed the draft National Assembly Supervision Program for 2025; the draft Law and Ordinance Development Program for 2025, and adjustments to the Law and Ordinance Development Program for 2024.

During the working week, the National Assembly discussed: Draft Resolution on piloting the addition of a number of specific mechanisms and policies for the development of Nghe An province; Draft Resolution amending and supplementing Resolution No. 119/2020/QH14 of the National Assembly on piloting the organization of an urban government model and a number of specific mechanisms and policies for the development of Da Nang city.

In addition, the National Assembly gave opinions on: Approval of the 2022 state budget settlement (including the implementation of the provisions in Resolution No. 91/2023/QH15 on approval of the 2021 state budget settlement and Resolution No. 94/2019/QH14 on tax debt relief, late payment penalty debt relief, late payment interest for taxpayers who are no longer able to pay the state budget); National marine spatial planning for the 2021-2030 period, with a vision to 2050.
