Proud of the heroic Vietnamese mothers of Hai Duong province

The book "Heroic Vietnamese Mothers of Hai Duong Province" is being stored at the Provincial Library.

In order to honor the heroic Vietnamese mothers, the Standing Committee of Hai Duong Provincial Party Committee directed the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department to collect documents, research, compile, print and publish the book "Heroic Vietnamese Mothers of Hai Duong Province".

Turning each page of the book, readers seem to look back at the great contributions of our army and people in the cause of national liberation. Over 300,000 Hai Duong youths enthusiastically joined the army to save the country, 38,941 soldiers heroically sacrificed their lives on all battlefields, the whole province has 21,090 wounded soldiers, 8,968 sick soldiers and 1,645 mothers who were awarded (posthumously) the title of Heroic Vietnamese Mothers, 32 Heroes of the People's Armed Forces, 6,113 youth volunteers, 3,525 revolutionary activists and resistance fighters who were imprisoned by the enemy, 6,272 resistance fighters and their children were infected with Agent Orange/dioxin... Those great contributions and sacrifices contributed significantly to the victory of the resistance war against the French colonialists and the invading American imperialists, bringing the nation into a new era - the era of independence, freedom, prosperity and happiness.

The book is also a slow-motion film about the lives of each fallen martyr. Enthusiastically joining the army in their youth with a desire to contribute, many were not yet 20 years old, some died just a year later, some sacrificed right before the country was completely liberated, leaving behind endless pain for those who remained.

After more than 2 years of implementation, the book has been carefully and meticulously compiled with a total of 588 pages, size 19x27 cm, including 4 parts: Introduction; Revolutionary struggle tradition of the people of Hai Duong province; Information about Vietnamese Heroic Mothers; References.

The book was printed and distributed in 4,000 copies to each family of the Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, each Party Committee of the commune with Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, specialized agencies, departments and offices at district and provincial levels, and libraries at all levels from primary to high school in the province.

The book has profound humanistic values, expressing the spirit and morality of "When drinking water, remember its source" of the nation. The publication of the book also contributes to solving many problems arising in the process of recognizing, supporting, and implementing policies for Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, is an official information channel serving the management activities of specialized agencies, and valuable materials for teaching local history in the education system at all levels...
