The Truth National Political Publishing House has just released the book "Stories about Ho Chi Minh" translated by Nguyen Hai Hoanh and Duong Trung Dung from a Chinese publication.

In June 1949, the August Publishing House (Shanghai, China) published and released the book "Ho Chi Minh's biography."

The book was translated by Truong Niem Thuc from a work by Tran Dan Tien.

After researching and studying, the Truth National Political Publishing House found this to be a valuable book, contributing to clarifying the life and activities of leader Nguyen Ai Quoc-Ho Chi Minh from the time he left to find a way to save the country until the first years after the Democratic Republic of Vietnam was founded.

With such important meaning, the Truth National Political Publishing House organized the translation and publication of the book from Chinese to Vietnamese with the spirit of respect, closely following the original from content to form of expression, with the title "Story about Ho Chi Minh."

Dr. Nguyen Thi Trang, editor of the Party Book Department, National Political Publishing House Truth, said that the book contains many touching and impressive stories. Among them are stories number 11, 12, 13, about the period when Nguyen Ai Quoc was active in France, joined the French Socialist Party and began to learn about political theory issues.

At this time, the patriotic young man Nguyen Ai Quoc actively participated and was active in the programs of the French Socialist Party, especially rallies discussing national and colonial issues, including Vietnam.

At the same time, Nguyen Ai Quoc took advantage of every opportunity, every place, to save money to buy and read books and newspapers, then learned to write for newspapers and founded the newspaper Le Paria with the motto of arousing the spirit of fighting against colonialism and solidarity of colonial peoples.

Even at that time, when the ideology and the path to save the country had not yet clearly formed, the young man Nguyen Ai Quoc was very aware of the role of books, newspapers, and magazines as tools to disseminate ideology and as sharp weapons of struggle on the ideological front.

According to Dr. Nguyen Thi Trang, to build, protect and develop revolutionary ideology, it is necessary to have revolutionary books, newspapers, magazines and pioneering "soldiers" on the ideological front.

This remains valid today and has been inherited and developed by our Party in the struggle to protect the Party's ideological foundation, contributing to building and firmly protecting the country in the new situation.

The book "Stories about Ho Chi Minh" includes 36 stories, each story is told by characters who are said to have worked and operated with leader Nguyen Ai Quoc-Ho Chi Minh or written from various rich historical documents.

The book is told in a simple, engaging, easy-to-understand, easy-to-remember style, contributing to providing valuable sources of documents, clarifying Ho Chi Minh's ideology, morality, and style.

Talking about accessing the book, translator Duong Trung Dung said that accessing the Chinese version was a long process.

When he asked translator Nguyen Hai Hoanh to translate the book, he was very determined even though he was 82 years old and suffering from heart failure.

The translation was carefully done over nearly a year. The translators are delighted to have an original book, supplemented with new materials about President Ho Chi Minh.
