Of the 8 valedictorians of Nguyen Trai High School for the Gifted (based on specialized subjects), 5 were students of Vu Huu Secondary School - the school named "Math Champion" of Vietnam. The valedictorian of Binh Giang High School for the 10th grade was also a student of Vu Huu Secondary School. Not to mention, among the few Hai Duong students who took the exam and were admitted to the 10th grade of Hanoi National University of Education High School for the Gifted in the 2024-2025 school year, Vu Huu Secondary School also had 2 students who were admitted but still chose to study in the math class of Nguyen Trai High School for the Gifted.

Pham Thi Phuong Chi, valedictorian of the history major, also the winner of first prize in history at the provincial level exam for excellent 9th grade students in the 2023-2024 school year, said that in addition to her own efforts and those of her friends, the most important thing is the dedicated guidance and teaching of teachers.

Participating in training many students to achieve high results in district and provincial level exams, Mr. Dang Van Hung, a math teacher at Vu Huu Secondary School, said that in order for students to study well, the first important thing is to inspire them. Teachers must be passionate and love the subject they teach and must constantly study and improve their professional skills. At the same time, they must be close to students to understand their wishes and aspirations.

In the recent provincial-level 9th ​​grade excellent student selection exam for the 2023-2024 school year, out of the 10 students who won first prizes, Vu Huu Secondary School also had 3 students, the most in the province. The school's math and chemistry team ranked first in the province. The 3 teams of literature, biology and geography ranked second. The English, physics and history teams ranked third in the province. This result contributed to Binh Giang district ranking first in the province, up 4 places compared to the 2022-2023 school year.

In recent years, the school’s rate of students passing the entrance exam to public high schools has always been ranked high in the province. Every year, the school has 15-23 students passing the entrance exam to Nguyen Trai High School for the Gifted, and many of them are valedictorians.
