According to Nation Thailand, on the morning of January 28, thousands of people gathered in front of the private home of a Thai millionaire to receive a large amount of lucky money to celebrate the Lunar New Year.

Specifically, more than 5,000 locals gathered at the private home of millionaire Preecha Chairat in Udon Thani province to receive traditional lucky money during the Lunar New Year. Mr. Preecha set aside 2 million baht (about 1.5 billion VND) to distribute money to people.

Those who arrived were served breakfast before receiving lucky money. Meanwhile, police, soldiers and rescue forces were deployed to ensure safety and regulate traffic.

The elderly, women, children and people with disabilities were the first to receive lucky money from the 75-year-old Thai millionaire.

Millionaire Preecha said he plans to continue the program every year to bring joy to people in Udon Thani province.

During this period, Mr. Preecha said he had prepared 10,000 red envelopes worth a total of 2 million baht.
