Nam Hung Commune Police (Nam Sach) has just promptly prevented a fraud case of appropriating property by impersonating district police officers and calling people to request the transfer of more than 400 million VND.
Thank you letter to the police force from Mr. Duong Van Din
At noon on August 11, Mr. Duong Van Din, born in 1960, residing in Tran Xa village, Nam Hung commune, received a phone call from a subject claiming to be a police officer of Nam Sach district. The subject informed that Mr. Din had opened a bank account and fraudulently appropriated 54 million VND, and was being investigated by Hanoi police. If he wanted to escape punishment, he had to declare his assets and transfer more than 400 million VND to the subject.
Faced with the subject's threats and psychological manipulation, Mr. Din and his wife went to the bank to transfer the money. Halfway there, Mr. Din remembered that the Nam Hung Commune Police had been promoting online fraud methods and tricks, so he went to see the Deputy Chief of Commune Police for advice. After being instructed and explained, Mr. Din calmed down and did not transfer the money.
Mr. Din wrote a letter of thanks to the district police and Nam Hung commune police.
