The recent erratic weather has made it easy for children to catch certain diseases. However, in Hai Duong, the number of children hospitalized has decreased.

In the first half of August, Hai Duong Children's Hospital received an average of 150 patients per day for examination and 40 patients were hospitalized. In the same period last month, the hospital received 200 patients per day and 60 patients were hospitalized.
In August last year, many children in Hai Duong suffered from infectious diseases such as influenza A, encephalitis, hand, foot and mouth disease, and dengue fever. On average, the hospital treated more than 400 patients per day. This year, the number of patients coming for examination and treatment decreased, with no children hospitalized for encephalitis, influenza A, or dengue fever. The hospital is treating 267 patients, mainly with respiratory diseases.
Doctors at Hai Duong Children's Hospital said that many children have been vaccinated; parents' awareness and consciousness of protecting their children's health have been increasingly raised... which has helped children limit the risk of getting sick. Most of the hospitalized patients are mild, with short treatment times; there are no severe or critical cases requiring transfer to a higher level.
