In the first two months of this year, Hai Duong City collected over 184 billion VND in non-state tax, an increase of 63% over the same period last year.
According to the Hai Duong City Tax Department, in the first two months of the year, the total domestic tax revenue (excluding land use fees) managed by the unit was nearly 321 billion VND, reaching 33% of the year's estimate and increasing 72% over the same period last year.
Of which, non-state tax revenue alone (mainly value added tax and corporate income tax) reached over 184 billion VND, equal to 42% of the year's estimate and increased by 63% over the same period last year.
In addition, some taxes also increased sharply compared to the same period last year, such as personal income tax increased by more than 2.9 times, non-agricultural land use tax increased by more than 3 times, registration fee increased by 73%, fees and charges increased by 11%...
The above results were achieved because Hai Duong City promoted measures to collect business license tax in the first month of the year. As a result, by February 28, the business license fee collection had reached VND11,234 billion, exceeding the assigned annual plan by 5% and increasing by 6% over the same period last year. Although accounting for a small proportion of the total budget revenue, the completion of the business license tax collection plan in the first month and first quarter is an important driving force contributing to the completion of the city's annual budget revenue estimate.
Since the end of 2024, the Hai Duong City Tax Department has proactively reviewed and established the 2025 tax set for business households and over 2,500 enterprises operating in production and business in the area. The Department has implemented many measures, of which propaganda is important. The Department also discovered and corrected limitations in business registration management, tax declaration and payment registration; guided taxpayers to install and use Etax Mobile to improve the efficiency of tax collection and payment.
