Hai Duong City proposes to handle 2 polluted landfills located in the planning area.

According to the People's Committee of Hai Duong City, there are currently two landfills in the city that have been requested to be transported to a centralized treatment plant. These are the centralized landfill in Do Vu area, Quyet Thang commune, located in the planning area of ​​the police headquarters, and the landfill in Cap Nhat village, Tien Tien commune, which affects the environment and has been repeatedly reported and petitioned by local residents.

Through screening, the Do Vu area landfill is estimated to have about 15,700 tons of buried waste; this landfill has stopped operating since 2020, most of the organic waste has decomposed. The Cap Nhat village landfill is estimated to have nearly 8,000 tons of waste that needs to be treated. The Hai Duong City People's Committee estimates the cost of treating and improving the environment of these two landfills to be more than 20 billion VND.
