Thank you to Vice President JD Vance, Speaker of the House Mike Johnson, Senator John Thune, Chief Justice John Roberts, the justices of the United States Supreme Court, President Bill Clinton, President George W. Bush, President Barack Obama, President Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, and all Americans.

The Golden Age of America begins today. Our country will prosper and be respected all over the world again. We will be the envy of all nations and we will not be taken advantage of again.

Every day of my presidency, I will put only America first. We will reclaim our sovereignty. We will restore safety. We will restore the balance of justice. The vicious, violent, and unjust weaponization of our Justice Department and our government will end.

Our first priority is to create a proud, prosperous, and free nation. America will soon be greater, stronger, and more extraordinary than ever before.

I return to the presidency with optimism and confidence that we are beginning an exciting new era of success, that a wave of change is sweeping across our land, that sunshine is flooding the world, and that America has an unprecedented opportunity to seize this moment.

But first, we need to be honest about the challenges we face. They are many, but they will be met by the great strength the world is seeing in America.

As we gather here, the United States government is facing a crisis of confidence. For years, a radical and corrupt regime has stripped the American people of their power and wealth, and the pillars of our society have been broken and appear to be crumbling. We have a government that cannot even address simple crises at home, while it has been caught up in a series of tragedies abroad.

The government fails to protect wonderful, law-abiding American citizens. But it provides sanctuary and protection to dangerous criminals, many of whom come from prisons and mental institutions around the world, who illegally enter the United States.

We have a government that spends a fortune to protect other countries' borders, but refuses to protect America's borders, or more importantly, its own people. Our country can no longer provide basic services in times of emergency, like the great people of North Carolina and other states suffered from severe storms a few months ago.

More recently, the devastating wildfires that have been burning in Los Angeles for weeks, and we have done nothing to stop them, have raged through entire communities, even affecting some of the wealthiest and most powerful people in the country. Some of you sitting here are homeless.

We can't let this happen. People have been helpless. And that has to change.

We have a public health system that fails in times of disaster, yet spends more money than any other country in the world. We have an education system that teaches children to be ashamed of themselves, even to hate the country we have tried so hard to love. All of this is changing today, and it is changing fast.

My election was on a mission to reverse this terrible betrayal and restore to our people our trust, our wealth, our democracy, and most of all, our freedom. From this moment on, the decline of America is over. Our liberty and the glorious destiny of our nation will be denied no longer. We will immediately restore the integrity, the capacity, and the loyalty of our government.

Over the past eight years, I have been tested more than any president in our country's 250-year history, and I have learned a lot along the way. The road to reclaiming our republic has not been easy. Those who would thwart our mission have tried to take my freedom, even my life.

A few months ago, in a beautiful field in Pennsylvania, an assassin's bullet pierced my ear. But I believe then and now that I survived for a reason. God saved me to make America great again. Thank you very much.

That is why every day of our presidency, as patriotic Americans, we will work to meet every crisis with dignity and strength. We will act with purpose and speed to bring hope, prosperity, safety, and peace to all our citizens regardless of race, religion, color, or creed. For Americans, January 20, 2025, is Liberation Day.

I hope that our recent presidential election will be remembered as the most amazing and influential event in our nation’s history. Our election victory showed that the entire country had found common ground around our agenda, with support rising across nearly every segment of society, from young to old, men and women, African Americans, Hispanics, Asian Americans, urban to suburban and rural. Most importantly, we won all seven battleground states by a landslide and won the popular vote by millions.

I want to thank the Black and Hispanic communities for the incredible love and trust you showed me through your votes. We set a record and I will never forget it. I listened to your voices throughout the campaign and I look forward to working with you in the years ahead.

Today is a day to honor and remember Martin Luther King Jr. It is a great honor. But to do so, we must work together to make his dream come true.

America is experiencing a rebirth of national unity, with confidence and pride like never before. My administration will be inspired by a relentless ambition to succeed. We will not forget our country. We will not forget our Constitution and we will not forget our God. We cannot do that.

Today, I will sign a series of historic executive orders. With these actions, we will begin the American Revolution and the cause of what is right.

First, I will declare a national emergency on our southern border. All illegal entry will be stopped, and we will begin the process of returning the millions of criminal aliens to where they came from. We will reinstate the “Remain in Mexico” policy. I will end catch and release.

I will send the military to our southern border to repel this dangerous invasion of our country. Under executive orders I am signing today, we will designate gangs as foreign terrorist organizations. And by invoking the Foreign Enemies Act of 1798, I will direct my administration to use the full authority of federal and state law enforcement agencies to dismantle foreign gangs and criminal networks that commit heinous crimes on American soil.

As Commander-in-Chief, I have no greater responsibility than to defend our nation from threats and invasion. That is what I will do. And we will do it at a level we have never seen before.

Next, I am directing all members of my Cabinet to use every authority available to us to tackle record high inflation and rapidly reduce the cost of living and prices. The inflation crisis is caused by excessive spending and rising energy prices. That is why today I am also declaring a national energy emergency. We will continue to drill for oil.

America will once again be a manufacturing nation and we will have something that no other nation has, the largest reserves of oil and natural gas on Earth. We will use it and they will use it. We will lower prices, fill our strategic reserves once again and above all, export American energy all over the world. We will be a wealthy nation again and the black gold under our feet will make it possible for us to do it.

With my actions today, we will end the Green New Deal and repeal the “electric vehicle mandate,” save the auto industry, and keep my sacred promise to our great American autoworkers.

In other words, you will be able to buy the car you want. We will be building cars in America again at a pace that was unthinkable just a few years ago. And thank you to all of our country’s autoworkers for your vote of confidence. We have received a huge vote of confidence from them.

I will immediately begin reforming the trading system to protect American workers and American families. Instead of taxing our people to make other countries richer, we will tax other countries to make our people richer.

To this end, we are establishing the Foreign Tax Collection Agency. to collect tariffs. This will be a huge influx of foreign money into our treasury. The American Dream will soon be back and stronger than ever.

To restore trust and efficiency to the federal government, my administration will establish a brand new Government Performance Council.

After years of unconstitutional and illegal federal restrictions on free speech, I will sign an executive order to immediately end all forms of government censorship and restore free speech in America.

The enormous power of government will never be weaponized to suppress political opponents. This is something I understand very well. We will not allow that to happen again. It will never happen again.

Under my leadership, we will restore fairness, equality, and impartial justice, based on the rule of law as enshrined in our Constitution. We will bring law and order back to our cities.

This week, I will also end the policy that infuses race and gender into every aspect of our public and private lives. We will build a society based on race and merit. It will be the official policy of the United States government going forward that there are only two genders, male and female.

This week, I will reinstate with full pay all military members unfairly discharged for protesting mandatory Covid-19 vaccinations.

I will also sign an executive order to end the practice of exposing our troops to extremist political theories and social experiments while on duty. This will end immediately.

Our Armed Forces will be free to focus on a single mission: defeating America's enemies. Just like in 2017, we will once again build the strongest military the world has ever seen.

Our success will be measured not only by the battles we win, but also by the wars we stop, and perhaps most importantly, the wars we never fight.

My proudest legacy will be being a peacemaker and a unifier - that's what I want to be, a peacemaker and a unifier. I'm very happy to announce that yesterday, the day before I took office, hostages in the Middle East began to come home.

America will reclaim its rightful place as the greatest, strongest, and most respected nation on Earth, inspiring all and earning the admiration of the world.

In the near future, we will rename the Gulf of Mexico the Gulf of America and rename Mount McKinley after a great president, William McKinley - where it belongs and deserves to be.

President McKinley enriched the country with tariffs and his own genius. He was a natural businessman and provided Teddy Roosevelt with the funds to undertake many great projects, including the Panama Canal. Silly enough, the canal was awarded to Panama after the United States had spent more money than any previous project and lost 38,000 lives in the process.

We have been treated very badly for this stupid gift that should never have happened, and Panama has broken its promise to us. The intent of the agreement and the spirit of the treaty have been violated. American ships have been overcharged and not treated fairly in any way. This includes American naval vessels, and on top of that, China operates the Panama Canal. We didn’t give it to China, we gave it to Panama. And now we’re taking it back.

Above all, my message to the American people today is that the time has come to act once more, with the courage, energy, and vitality of the greatest civilization in history. As we free our country, we will lead it to new heights of victory and success. We will not be stopped.

Together, we will end the epidemic of chronic disease and protect our children from harm, keeping them safe and healthy. America will see itself once again as a nation on the move, growing in wealth, expanding its territory, building new cities, raising expectations, and carrying our flag to new and wonderful horizons. We will pursue our historic mission to the stars, sending American astronauts to plant our flag on Mars.

Aspiration is the lifeblood of a great nation, and right now our country is filled with greater aspiration than any other.

There is no country like America. Americans are explorers, builders, innovators, entrepreneurs, and pioneers. The pioneering spirit is in our hearts. The call to the next great adventure echoes in the soul of every person.

Our ancestors transformed a small colony on the edge of a vast continent into a mighty republic, populated by the most extraordinary citizens on Earth. No one has ever been able to match it. Americans have traveled thousands of miles of rugged and wild terrain. They have crossed deserts, conquered mountains, faced untold dangers, opened up the Wild West, ended slavery, rescued millions from tyranny, lifted billions out of poverty, harnessed electricity, split the atom, launched man into space, and put the universe of knowledge in the palm of man’s hand.

If we work together, nothing is impossible and no dream is impossible. Many people thought I could not make a historic political comeback. But here I am today. The American people have spoken. I stand before you as proof that you should never believe the impossible. In America, the impossible is what we do best.

From New York to Los Angeles, from Philadelphia to Phoenix, from Chicago to Miami, from Houston to here in Washington, D.C., our nation was formed and built by generations of patriots who gave their all for our rights and our freedoms.

They were farmers and soldiers, cowboys and factory workers, steelworkers and miners, policemen and pioneers, people who never backed down, always moved forward, and let no obstacle defeat their spirit or pride.

Together, they laid railroads, built skyscrapers, opened great highways, won two world wars..., and overcame every challenge they faced.

After all we have been through, we stand on the threshold of the greatest four years in American history. With your help, we will restore the promise of America and rebuild the country we love and cherish so much.

We are one people, one family, and one glorious nation under God. So to every parent who raises a child's dream, and to every child who dreams of a future, I am with you, fighting and winning for you. We will win like never before.

Our country has suffered greatly in recent years. But we will bring it back and make it great again, greater than ever before. We will be a nation unlike any other, filled with compassion, courage, and ingenuity. Our strength will end every war and bring a new unity to an angry, violent, and completely unpredictable world.

America will be respected and admired again, by people of religion, faith, and goodwill. We will prosper. We will be proud. We will be strong, and we will win like never before. We will not be cowed. We will not be intimidated. We will not fall, and we will not fail. From this day forward, the United States of America is a free, sovereign, and independent nation.

We will stand tall and bold. We will live boldly. We will dream boldly, and nothing can stand in our way because we are Americans. The future is ours and our golden age has only just begun.

Thank you. God bless America. Thank you all!
