On the morning of January 7, striker Nguyen Tien Linh visited his teammate Nguyen Xuan Son. Previously, in an exchange with the audience, Tien Linh said that everyone was very happy when Xuan Son joined the Vietnam national team, and at the same time tried to help the striker born in 1997 integrate into the team as quickly as possible.

"Xuan Son can speak a few sentences in Vietnamese and praise the delicious food. In terms of expertise, Xuan Son integrates well with his teammates so he doesn't encounter too many difficulties in competition," Tien Linh said.

Regarding Xuan Son's surgery, the player is currently undergoing physical therapy and rehabilitation, combined with a personalized nutritional regimen, suitable for each stage of recovery. For now, he is training and can move with crutches.

In the next 1-2 weeks, Xuan Son will be able to walk normally, but he will need at least 6-8 months to return to training. This means the 27-year-old striker will miss the entire 2024/2025 season, missing the final qualifying round of the 2027 Asian Cup.
