The notice stated that the subject is a 44-year-old Swiss citizen.
Police have not yet found any connection between the bomb threat in Zurich and recent incidents in neighboring countries. Authorities are investigating the suspect's motive.
Authorities also checked the subject's residence and found no explosive devices.
Earlier, a court in Zurich ordered staff to evacuate after several media outlets in the city received an email containing a threat to detonate an explosive device in the courtroom.
