The meeting was held online nationwide at the Government Headquarters and headquarters of ministries, ministerial-level agencies, government agencies, and People's Committees of provinces and centrally run cities.

Attending the Conference were members of the Committee; Deputy Prime Minister Tran Luu Quang, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Committee; Ministers, Heads of ministerial-level agencies, Government agencies, Chairmen of People's Committees of provinces and centrally run cities; leaders of corporations in the fields of technology and telecommunications.

Speaking at the opening of the meeting, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, Chairman of the Committee, emphasized that 2024 - a breakthrough year in implementing the 5-year socio-economic development plan 2021-2025, focuses on promoting growth and economic restructuring, effectively exploiting traditional growth drivers and promoting new growth drivers, including developing green economy, circular economy, digital economy; promoting national digital transformation; developing digital government, digital economy, digital society, digital citizens.

The whole country focuses on three strategic breakthroughs: building and perfecting institutions, including institutions related to digital transformation; training human resources, especially high-quality human resources, focusing on human resources serving digital transformation; building infrastructure, including digital infrastructure; improving the effectiveness and efficiency of state budget revenue and expenditure management, especially promoting digital transformation in budget revenue and expenditure such as food and beverage business services, restaurants, e-commerce, business on cross-border platforms; fully and promptly implementing and improving the effectiveness of policies for people with meritorious services, social assistance, ensuring social security, including paying subsidies to policy beneficiaries without using cash...

The Prime Minister said that over the past time, the Government and the Prime Minister have always paid attention to and requested all levels, sectors, localities, and the National Committee on Digital Transformation to regularly and continuously monitor, evaluate, urge, and closely direct the national digital transformation work, ensuring effectiveness and substance.

The Committee has issued the 2024 Action Plan, which identifies the focus of National Digital Transformation with the theme "Developing the digital economy with 4 pillars: information technology industry, digitalization of economic sectors, digital governance, digital data - as an important driving force for rapid and sustainable socio-economic development".

The Prime Minister requested members of the Committee, leaders of ministries, branches and localities to focus on reporting and assessing the implementation of national digital transformation with a focus on digital economic development in an objective and honest manner, with evidence by specific data on the results achieved, shortcomings, limitations, barriers, bottlenecks and causes.
