The labor market in Hai Duong is gradually warming up. The demand for labor recruitment of enterprises tends to increase again.
In many industrial parks and industrial clusters of Hai Duong, many businesses have posted signs recruiting workers. Websites providing and introducing human resources for Hai Duong businesses are also more active. In addition to recruiting a number of positions such as administrative-human resources specialists, purchasing department managers, sales department heads, technical team leaders, etc., many businesses also post new recruitment notices for workers and seasonal workers with attractive salaries and bonuses.
Ms. Lu Thi Thao from Cha Cang commune, Nam Bo district (Dien Bien) said that compared to the beginning and middle of the year, recently there have been more businesses in Hai Duong recruiting. Thanks to that, she found a job at Sumidenso Vietnam Co., Ltd. instead of previously working as a waitress in a restaurant. As soon as she started working, she received a bonus of 4 million VND.
In recent times, economic difficulties have had a significant impact on the production and business activities of enterprises, leading to the impact on the employment of workers. Many Hai Duong enterprises have had to cut labor, reduce working hours. The number of enterprises with stable orders and overtime is not much.
Eight months ago, the number of workers receiving unemployment benefits in Hai Duong increased by more than 20% compared to the same period in 2022. However, since the beginning of October, the labor market has gradually "warmed up", the rate of workers requesting unemployment benefits has tended to decrease. Many businesses have allowed workers to work overtime again.
According to the General Statistics Office, Hai Duong’s labor utilization index in October increased by 0.4% compared to the previous month. Many industries such as animal feed production, automobile manufacturing, electricity, electronics, etc. increased this month. Some labor-intensive enterprises such as textiles, footwear, electricity, and electronics are also actively recruiting more workers.
To meet the labor recruitment needs of businesses, the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs has directed the Center for Employment Services - Vocational Education to actively connect, consult and introduce jobs.
According to Mr. Bui Quoc Trinh, Deputy Director of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs, in recent times, the Center for Employment Services - Vocational Education has regularly updated and posted job vacancies, looking for workers through Zalo groups, Facebook, websites and recruiting directly at job exchanges. Workers who come to apply for unemployment benefits are also supported in finding jobs promptly. From the beginning of the year to the end of October, the Center for Employment Services - Vocational Education in Hai Duong has consulted and introduced jobs to nearly 20,000 workers. Many workers through the center's consultation and introduction have found stable jobs.
On November 3, the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs held a conference connecting vocational training schools with businesses to consider labor supply in the coming time when businesses enter the recovery and development phase.
The positive movement of the labor market in Hai Duong in the last months of the year shows that businesses have more orders and workers also have better opportunities to find jobs.
