Can a confirmed admission candidate cancel?

After being admitted to university, candidates must comply with the regulations on confirming admission or canceling admission confirmation according to the instructions of the Ministry of Education and Training (MOET).

No later than 5:00 p.m. on August 27, successful candidates must confirm their enrollment on the Ministry of Education and Training system. After confirmation, the candidate's information will be updated to the Ministry's database system, and the system will automatically lock all operations related to the candidate's enrollment.

Therefore, after completing the admission confirmation step, candidates are not allowed to participate in additional admission or enroll in other schools on the system. In case of changing wishes or aspirations, candidates are not allowed to cancel the online admission confirmation but must contact the university they have been admitted to for resolution.

Whether or not a confirmation of admission can be cancelled depends on the decision of each educational institution. If the university accepts the cancellation, the candidate can apply for additional admission or enroll in another school.

Candidates then follow up on information from the university they are admitted to in order to carry out further admission procedures.

Candidates have 3 days left to consider and confirm admission on the Ministry of Education and Training system. The specific admission steps are as follows:

Step 1:Log in

- Visit website http://thisinh.thitotnghiepthpt.edu.vn

- Enter the information Citizen ID number/ID card, Login code, Confirmation code and click the Login button.

Step 2:Go to the menu Look up admission results from the display screen menu.

Step 3:View admission results.

Note, each school that the candidate registers for admission has only one result: pass or fail. In case the screen displays the result "fail", it means that the candidate fails all the wishes registered for the school.

Step 4:Confirmation of admission.

Step 5:Click Agree to complete the admission confirmation.

Step 6:Check the status of Enrolled.

If you do not complete these 6 steps, you will be considered to have refused the opportunity to be admitted to the university. The status “Admitted” shows that the candidate has successfully confirmed his/her admission.

Currently, many schools across the country have announced additional enrollment for different majors.

The International School (Vietnam National University, Hanoi) announced that it will continue to recruit additional majors with a benchmark score of 20 or higher, such as Hotel Management, Events and Tourism, Accounting and Finance. These are all majors in the international joint training program, with higher tuition fees than majors in the mass training program.

Vietnam-Japan University (Vietnam National University, Hanoi) is recruiting 150 additional students based on the following methods: High school graduation exam scores, competency profile and interview, competency assessment test scores, SAT, ACT or A-Level certificates. For candidates who are recruited based on high school graduation exam results, Vietnam-Japan University accepts applications with scores of 20 or higher.

Hanoi University of Industry is recruiting additional students for the majors of Fashion Design, Graphic Design, Garment Technology, Marketing, E-commerce, Accounting, Industrial Management, Business Administration, Mechanical Engineering Technology... The admission score for many majors is less than 20 points. The additional admission period is from August 18 to September 30, based on the method of considering high school transcripts and considering high school graduation exam scores in 2024.

This year, the general admission system of the Ministry of Education and Training recorded more than 733,000 candidates registering for admission (equivalent to 68.5% of the number of candidates taking the 2024 high school graduation exam). Of which, the highest rate of candidates registering for the fields of Engineering, Computer Science, and Information Technology; followed by the field of Pedagogy, then the fields of Humanities and Health.
