The project to improve technical infrastructure to serve aquaculture development in Vinh Lap and Thanh Quang communes aims to promote the agricultural strengths of Thanh Ha district.
At the 20th session (special session) on the afternoon of November 26, the People's Council of Thanh Ha district, term XX, 2021-2026, reviewed and approved many construction projects. In which, the investment policy for the Project to renovate and upgrade technical infrastructure to serve the development of aquaculture and agriculture in Vinh Lap commune and Thanh Quang commune was agreed.
In Vinh Lap commune, the Thuan B culvert will be replaced, the T2-3.KT1 canal section from Thuan B culvert to Da Tu culvert will be renovated, the branch canal section of T2-3.KT1 will be renovated, the canalside road will be renovated, and the internal roads will be renovated. In Thanh Quang commune, the internal road surface will be concreted with a total length of more than 3 km.
The project is invested by Thanh Ha District Construction Investment Project Management Board with a total cost of 35.3 billion VND. The capital is drawn from the provincial budget, district budget and other legal sources. The implementation period is from 2024-2026.
The project is divided into 2 phases, phase 1 invests in constructing items in Vinh Lap commune in 2024-2025, phase 2 constructs items in Thanh Quang commune in 2025-2026.
Vinh Lap and Thanh Quang communes are located in Ha Dong area of Thanh Ha district. These two communes are developing concentrated aquaculture and lychee production areas, however, agricultural infrastructure is still limited. In Vinh Lap commune, the pure B culverts, canal systems, and traffic routes serving aquaculture and agricultural production activities are currently not suitable for the requirements and have degraded. In Thanh Quang commune, the current traffic system in the concentrated lychee production area according to GAP standards and for export is mainly gravel roads, some small, narrow concrete roads, damaged road surfaces, and difficult to travel.
The project investment will enhance the water intake and drainage capacity of Thuan B sluice, resolve the sedimentation of the canal bed and stabilize the canal banks leading from Thuan B sluice to Tu Da sluice in Vinh Lap commune, meeting the irrigation and drainage needs for agricultural land areas cultivated according to the model of fruit tree and aquaculture development. For Thanh Quang commune, the project creates favorable conditions for people's travel and production, promoting agricultural and fruit tree development.
