Hai Duong Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism organizes the 2024 tour guide competition

The Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Hai Duong has planned to organize the "Hai Duong Province Tour Guide Contest 2024". Participants in the contest are tour guides, guides, collaborators, civil servants, and employees working at relic management boards, tourist areas and spots in the province or working at some public service units under the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

The new point is that students at tourism training institutions in the province can participate in this year's contest.

Candidates will present a presentation introducing Hai Duong tourism; practice professional tour guide skills and elective talents.

According to the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the contest will be held in preliminary and semi-final rounds from July 9-14, with presentation skills competition and final round, awarding prizes from September 23-27.

The Organizing Committee of the contest hopes that this activity will contribute to further improving the quality of tour guides, thereby attracting tourists to Hai Duong.

From the beginning of the year to May 13, Hai Duong welcomed over 1.4 million visitors, an increase of 80% over the same period in 2023; of which 37,827 were international visitors and about 1,370,000 were domestic visitors. Tourism revenue reached VND 593.1 billion, an increase of 75%.
