Old Trafford is still the place that causes Liverpool many difficulties

Playing away from home, Liverpool were the team to score the opening goal in the 23rd minute.

From Andrew Robertson's corner kick, Darwin Nunez headed the ball to Luiz Diaz. Unmarked, the Colombian player volleyed a powerful shot past goalkeeper Onana.

With the goal, Liverpool continued to put pressure and had more opportunities. However, on a rather "unlucky" day, Liverpool's strikers were unable to capitalize on their chances.

In the second half, the game did not change much, but a surprise happened. In the 50th minute, center-back Jarell Amorin Quansah (Liverpool) passed the ball straight to Bruno Fernandes' feet. The Portuguese midfielder quickly fired a long-range shot, scoring, equalizing the score 1-1. This was also MU's first shot in this match.

In the 67th minute, 18-year-old MU star Kobbie Mainoo surprised everyone with a beautiful turn and shot in the penalty area, sending the ball to the far corner beyond the reach of goalkeeper Caoimhin Kelleher, raising the score to 2-1.

This was Mainoo's second goal in the Premier League, after a curling effort in injury time sealed a 4-3 win at Wolves in early February. Mainoo is the first 18-year-old to score against Liverpool in the Premier League since Cesc Fabregas for Arsenal in May 2005, and the youngest United player to do so in the competition.

After conceding this goal, Liverpool increased the pressure in search of an equalizer. After many missed opportunities, Liverpool finally found an equalizer from the 11m mark thanks to Salah in the 82nd minute.

The match ended in a 2-2 draw.

With this result, Liverpool lost the top spot to Arsenal. After 31 matches, Liverpool and Arsenal have 71 points, but Liverpool is ranked lower due to a worse goal difference.

Meanwhile, the draw with Liverpool prevented MU from improving its position, currently ranking 6th in the Premier League with 49 points, 11 points behind Aston Villa and Tottenham.
