At least three people were killed and many others are believed to be missing in a coal mine collapse in the eastern state of West Bengal, Indian officials said on October 13.
Police sources said the incident occurred on the evening of October 11 at the Narayankuri coal mine in the Raniganj area of Paschim Bardhaman district, 197km northwest of the capital Kolkata.
