Ronaldo hasn't scored yet, but Portugal still wins big against Türkiye

Cristiano Ronaldo has yet to score at EURO 2024. However, the Portuguese team still won big against Türkiye to secure a place in the knockout round.

Compared to the previous match, Portugal changed one position in the starting lineup. Coach Roberto Martinez dropped a defender (Diogo Dalot) to increase the number of players in the midfield (Joao Palhinha).

Portugal dominated from the start. It took them about 20 minutes to open the scoring. A clearance from a Turkish defender accidentally created an opportunity for Bernardo Silva to score.

A few minutes later, the Turkish defense made a silly mistake. Portugal scored while Ronaldo was still angry because his teammate passed the wrong pass.
