Catch the trend

Many people, especially young people, come to coffee shops not only to enjoy drinks but also to take photos with impressive check-in angles. To please customers, many coffee shops have changed their decoration style on holidays such as Lunar New Year, Christmas, etc.

Mid-Autumn Festival is also an occasion that many coffee shops do not miss to decorate, creating a space to serve virtual guests. Depending on their own style, each shop has different decoration styles, but the general trend is to choose traditional and colorful toys. Since the beginning of August, many coffee shops have come up with ideas and redecorated their space to be eye-catching according to the Mid-Autumn theme. Walking around Hai Duong city, it is not difficult to see coffee shops quickly catching the Mid-Autumn "trend" such as La Coffee, Di-Vang Coffee, Thu Coffee...

Mr. Dung, manager of Thu Coffee Shop in Le Thanh Nghi Ward (Hai Duong City), said: “More than 2 weeks ago, the shop came up with ideas and prepared some accessories to create a space filled with the atmosphere of the Mid-Autumn Festival. These are lion heads, glass lanterns in various shapes such as fish, rabbits, and stars with diverse designs and sizes. Every small detail is also designed by the shop to create a cozy room filled with the colors of the Mid-Autumn Festival. Weekends are often the time when many families, young people, and children flock to the shop to take virtual photos during the moon season. On average, Thu Coffee Shop welcomes nearly 100 visitors per day. The photos of customers "checking in" are then posted on social networks, which is also a way to promote the shop to help more people know about it.”

This year, for the Mid-Autumn Festival, Ms. Tran Thi Huong in Phu Thai town (Kim Thanh) spent more than 4 million VND to buy some decorations such as lanterns, star lanterns, lion heads, and trays decorated with masks of the local god. With these items, Ms. Huong wants to create a cozy space for diners to keep beautiful photos.

Save the moments

One weekend, as the Mid-Autumn Festival was approaching, Ms. Dang Thi Dung's photo studio in Quang Trung Ward (Hai Duong City) was much more crowded. On this occasion, many families choose the Mid-Autumn Festival setting to take souvenir photos for their children or family members. About a month before, Ms. Dung went to Hang Ma Street (Hanoi) to choose and buy many decorative accessories such as drums, wooden stalls, persimmon branches, papier-mache masks... with a total cost of more than 4 million VND to create a photo corner for customers. According to Ms. Dung, the items she chose were all traditional items to recreate the old Mid-Autumn seasons. Along with these accessories, Ms. Dung also prepared many costumes imbued with the spirit of the full moon festival such as Cuoi's clothes, Hang's skirt, yếm, and turbans... Ms. Dung's shop offers many options for customers with photo packages ranging from 600,000-3.5 million VND/set of photos. On average, every day, Ms. Dung's shop has about 10 customers coming to take pictures with the Mid-Autumn Festival background.

Ms. Tran Thi Nhung in Tu Minh Ward (Hai Duong City) decided to take a set of Mid-Autumn Festival photos for her daughter on the occasion of her first birthday. Ms. Nhung said: "I saw that the trend of taking Mid-Autumn Festival photos was supported by many people on social networks, so on the occasion of my daughter's birthday near the Mid-Autumn Festival, I took a set of photos for her as a souvenir." In a red bib and a headdress, Ms. Nhung's daughter had lovely, cute photos.

Ms. Le Thi Minh Thu in Tan Hung Ward (Hai Duong City) shared: “Like many others, I come to the cafe not only to enjoy drinks and chat, but also to enjoy the beautifully decorated and eye-catching spaces. Images of moon cakes, lanterns and traditional toys create a unique space, bringing a sense of familiarity and closeness to many people. My family and I came to Thu cafe to reminisce and tell our children about the Mid-Autumn Festival memories of our childhood.

Shops and photo studios following the Mid-Autumn Festival trend have contributed to preserving traditional beauty.
