Purple Royal Poinciana flowers bloom all over the streets, Dalat is as beautiful as a painting

Purple Royal Poinciana, scientifically known as Jacaranda acutifolia, was introduced to Da Lat by agricultural engineer Luong Van Sau in 1962.

Purple Royal Poinciana is a large tree, 10-15 m high, canopy 5-7 m wide, leaves shaped like Royal Poinciana.

Purple Royal Poinciana flowers are tubular, blooming in clusters shimmering in the sun, each flower can be 4-5 cm long.

Flowers usually bloom in March and last until mid-April.

"Each season in Da Lat has its own beauty, but it seems that in the purple phoenix flower season, Da Lat is more romantic, more dreamy, captivating the hearts of both locals and tourists," photographer Sam Sam shared.

If you want to catch the most beautiful flower season, visitors should come to Da Lat between mid-March and early April, when the trees are lush, with many flowers and few leaves.

Mr. Le Anh Kiet, Head of the Department of Culture and Information of Da Lat City, said that in recent years, the number of tourists to Da Lat has tended to increase before or after holidays, especially on weekends. Not to mention, during the seasons of blooming Ban flowers, wild sunflowers, and purple phoenix flowers, Da Lat attracts even more tourists.
