On November 27, Al Jazeera TV channel reported that the Al-Qassam Brigades, the military wing of the Hamas movement, handed over the fourth group of hostages held in the Gaza Strip to the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC).
Earlier in the day, the Hamas movement confirmed the extension of the ceasefire for another 48 hours.
On the same day, Mr. Farhad Alaadin, Foreign Affairs Adviser to Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani, warned that "the entire region is on the brink of a devastating conflict" if the current temporary ceasefire in Gaza does not become a permanent ceasefire.
Mr. Farhad Alaadin stated that Iraq believes that any ceasefire is beneficial and important for the Palestinians, Gaza, all countries in the region, including Iraq.
